Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Aero Design

The goal of the club is to partake in the SAE Aero Design competition, where each team has to meet certain design criteria and flight performance levels. My role in the club was to help design,  manufacture and integrate the structural and aerodynamic control surfaces of the aircraft. This club thought me to apply basic principles from my aerodynamics and structures classes to solve some "real world issues". The club also introduced me to the complexity of aircraft design especially with the challenging design constraints.
